Let us now proceed to the side-by-side comparison of the two aforementioned series.

So, the common question is: What is the difference? Should we compare the Napoleon pro series to these to see which one is superior?

First things first, the Napoleon 700 Built-In Series, as the title suggests, is specifically designed just for the built-in configuration. On the other hand, the Napoleon Prestige Pro Series can be both built-in and freestanding. However, Taking this into consideration, we will focus on and discuss some really great features that are specifically designed, such as an outdoor kitchen-type application.

1. Hood and Construction

You can clearly see the difference between the closed and the regular Prestige series. Specifically, from the hood up, there are a lot of cosmetic differences. We will show you some overlays of what the Pro series looks like, but if you look at the sides of the grills, you will notice that the entire grill head is made of stainless steel. This is different from the Pro series and Prestige series, which have chrome and aluminum siding. This stainless steel look gives your kitchen a more beefy and natural look.

2. Cooking Grates

Similar looking cooking grates

The two grills have a 9 mm cooking grate, which provides better performance for cooking vegetables and other items due to the close proximity and beefy surface area. This is somehow a similarity between the two grills.

3. Grill Lighting

To make this simple, the Prestige Pro has interior  and motion lighting, whereas the 700 Series has exterior  lighting only.

To sum up, the Napoleon 700 series is a great way to enter the built-in category with a clean and polished look. It has the same Napoleon design and feel, with nice even cooking distribution throughout the grill. The two main features that you gain with the 700 series are the full stainless beefy lid and thicker cooking grates. You also get more value for your money. However, you lose the multi-color lights, interior lights, and rotisserie kit being standard. You can get an infrared drop-in burner as an add-on for both grills.

In conclusion, technically, there’s a difference in the hood construction, and also in the configuration of the two series. The quality they deliver is almost the same, yet, Prestige Pro has more upgraded features compared to the 700 Series.
